School / Club Program

The FINA Swimming World Cup is an international series of short course (25 m) swimming meets organized by FINA, the International Federation for swimming. The series started in 1988/1989, and is open to swimmers from FINA member countries.

On this occasion and following the practice of the successful School Program during the 10th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) last December, the Organizing Committee of the FINA/Arena Swimming World Cup 2011 Dubai wants to continue the idea of the School Program again this year.

We would like to organize swimming activities for the children from schools in Dubai during the competition.
Besides having the opportunity of swimming at the great facilities of the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Sports Complex, the children could also meet world famous swimmers.
The OC would also provide tickets for the parents and friends of the children who could come and support them during the activities as well as attend the World Cup as spectators.

We consider the School Program as a milestone for our plans to introduce the sport of swimming more in UAE and build legacy for aquatic sports.
